Do you have chronic dizziness?  Chiropractic works to re-align the spine to fix the dizziness you may be experiencing.  At Mission Village Chiropractic, we have helped 100s of patients with issues of dizziness to get them back to their active lifestyle.
Dizziness is not a disease, it is an indication that there is something wrong somewhere else in your body. The dizzy spells are your body’s warning that something is interfering with the proper function of the body’s organs, nerves, glands, or muscles. Chiropractors have long suspected a relationship between upper neck spinal bone misalignments and vertigo.

All of the functions of the body are under control of the nervous system. The nervous system originates in the brain where nerve energy is transmitted down through the spinal cord inside our spine and branches out between the vertebrae as spinal nerves. Occasionally, something may cause the spine to twist or curve. This creates a misalignment of the spinal bones which can put pressure on the nerves, interfering with the transmission of nerve energy.

Chiropractors, after ruling out other causes, such as caffeine and aspirin sensitivity, can diagnose the spinal misalignment. Through gentle manipulation, chiropractic can relieve the pressure on the spinal nerves, allowing the body to heal itself.

The first stage in the workup of a complaint of dizziness is to accurately identify the actual nature of the symptom. There are essentially four symptoms that can be described by a patient as being "dizziness."

1. Lightheadedness -- The patient feels "not right in the head."
2. Presyncope -- The patient feels "faint."
3. Disequilibrium -- The patient feels off balance, often as if they are being "pulled to one side" and feels as if they could easily fall over.
4. Vertigo -- The patient feels as if they are spinning or the world is spinning around them. This can often occur in acute attacks, or it can be a constant, low level feeling. This can be rotatory or can occur in a sagittal plane.

At Mission Village Chiropractic, we specialize in gentle, highly effective chiropractic treatment. We give a very thorough spinal examination and locate specific subluxations. Addressing each subluxation individually rather than simply “cracking” the entire spine. With chiropractic care, we target specific subluxations, we are then able to utilize a very gentle, carefully directed and controlled pressure to restore your vertebrae back to its normal position. Serving San Diego County (Mission Valley) and communities within, our gentle treatments are extremely effective in helping to eliminate neck pain, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist pain, headaches, sub-luxation, whiplash and many other occupational and recreational (sports) injuries. Using gentle chiropractic techniques, our goal is to reduce or remove any interference to your inborn healing abilities and guide you back to the path to optimum health.
